Practical try of making the film-Planning

 The Practice before the Storm

In today's blog I will start making practical set up using the Legos. This is because, like before, I am not having the best time visualizing the replication of the film. So, I decided to make the screen play in Lego. 

What I Shot

1.) This shot has let me see what zoom level my phone needs to be at if I were doing this with real people or close to the real thing. Which the zoom level on the phone was 10x. Which is nice to now than before filming.

2.) This Image was the hardest to replicate on my phone because of the blur. The zoom required for the phone was around 30x which is the Max my phone can zoom. The Background and the Lego figure (Morphius) kept blurring with the background. With the blur happening with that ever the zoom I was the problem was distance from the figure. Which for me I had to go around an extra 5 ft. The Mise en scene was a problem with the high zoom because when you slightly bump into the phone and tripod it would move very drastically. 

3.) This was the easiest picture to replicate because the requirement of the nothing. It is a deep focus, wide shot. This just means that I have to get the Mise en scene right, which, now looking at it, is off by a few inches.

4.) This scene was mainly a problem because the was too much lighting. Which some of you may say just turn off/lower the lighting. Which is when I say, my lamp at home that changes light setting had a broken bulb and I would have to wait till next week to get it. But this is an experience to have the proper equipment before filming.

This was the first picture I took because of the this would let me get back into scale. The pill colors might be swapped but, the fall upon the lower horizontal line of mise en scene. The camera would not blur mainly because of the space from the camera to the figure and the allotted room to do this. This however worked out in the end. 

This scene was difficult again because of the lighting but the figures are on the hot spots and it all works.

I learned from this to be prepared with lighting and that I was over thinking it.
